Blueslate Cottage

Blueslate cottage

This two bedroomed cottage boasts beautiful views of the rolling hills of the Southern Highlands. This cottage is the original homestead of the property and had been restored to offer comfort and rustic beauty for a relaxing escape.  Enjoy a Southern Highlands sunset on a verandah which wraps all around the homestead, or sit quietly on comfortable verandah sofas and watch the birds come to feed at the bird table .

Take in a gorgeous view of the blue gum foothills as you slumber in your queen size bed. The other room has a double bed and a door which opens onto a locally quarried slate verandah, revealing peaceful paddock settings.

If it's cold snuggle up to watch a movie in front of the fire while watching one of a selection of DVDs (note: there is no TV reception).

We really enjoyed the time we had in this cottage and the area in general. Loved the friendly animals, the breakfast and the mosaics!Hope to be back one day.

7/09/08 Thank you. We have had a wonderful stay here. The cottage is beautiful and it was perfect weather for snuggling up and reading by the fire. We went on a few walks . The scenery was amazing and we saw a few kangaroos. The sheep were very friendly (especially after we fed them) and one allowed us to pat him. We went on a search for the platypus but couldn’t find him. Thank you we had a lovely stay. We will certainly be back, hopefully for longer next time Thanks,

Louise, Peter, Anna and Holly
